He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
We, as faithful followers of Jesus and believers in His Word, are truly called to help those that "needeth" in this world.
We do this through Godly work on the streets. This good work we are called to do takes resources: Prayer, time, money, commitment, faithfulness and a lot of brotherly love.
Am I my brother's keeper? Are you your brother's keeper? We would submit to you the answer to both questions is a resounding YES!
This is from the Bible story of Cain and Abel (see Genesis 4:1-13). Cain was so angry and jealous of his brother Abel that he killed him. Afterward, when God asked "Where is Abel?" Cain said he didn't know. That's when Cain asked, "Am I my brother's keeper?"What Cain was really saying, "My brother is not my problem."
If you are being your brother's keeper, here are some examples of things you might do for other people: keep an eye on them so you'll know if they need help, be caring and nice, be encouraging to them.
If God has blessed us in life, we are called to be good stewards with what he has given us through giving to others.
The point of giving is more about generosity and stewardship than just a “tithe.” Jesus is our example of being generous towards us and as we follow Him, we are to be generous towards others.
The only cure for greed and selfishness (both of which are thinking what we have is ours) is to give it away and be reminded of whose it really is. This means we need to be regular givers and it needs to be proactively part of our plan, not just when we have some money leftover.
Won't you please consider helping us reach the hopeless and lost TODAY?
Blessed, please be assured that we do not take one dime of your contributions for ourselves. We use every single penny to bless the homeless, the hungry and the lost on the streets of our country...100% of it.
In this troubled world there are millions of souls ready for the harvest. The Lord calls ALL of us to help bring the harvest into His storehouse as the time is drawing near!
